Wow, what a week! God is so good.

This first week of training camp has been full of learning, growth, and so much of the Father’s love. I’ve gotten to experience the Lord speaking to me in new ways, and it’s been such a gift to have intentional time every day to really dig deep into His Word.

We’ve covered so many powerful topics. Such as, hearing God’s voice, repentance, building our identity, forgiveness, and the beauty of Sabbath. Each day has stretched me in new ways and drawn me closer to Him.

Outside of that, life here has been such an adventure. I’m sleeping in a tent, soaking up community, and actually loving the flow of not knowing what’s coming next. On top of that, I don’t have my phone which has been surprisingly freeing. It’s given me space to be present with God and the people around me.

Some highlights of the week were team-building activities, hammock hangs, and our house visit scenarios. In groups of three, we got to “visit” different countries and practice what it might look like to be on the field. It was eye-opening and so much fun to imagine how God could use us in those situations.

We ended the week with Sabbath, truly resting with God. I realized that doing laundry on Sabbath is definitely not restful (dipping my clothes into two buckets of hose water one with detergent and one regular water then hanging them to dry just for it to rain) so that will not be happening again! The rest of the day I spent time watercoloring, worshiping, in the hammock, and just being with friends.

And the best part? I now have 31 new best friends that I get to walk through these next nine months with!!

And for everyone back home jump in the warm ocean for me!!

My missions journey takes me to Eswatini, Malaysia, Nicaragua and Guatemala. I am expectant for all God will do through me and reveal to me as I serve others. Since I was a little girl, I have had the heart to see people say yes to Jesus. I even told my mom when I was 7 years old, Mom, you know those people who look in balls and tell people their future? Well I am going to take over their spots and start praying for people. I am most excited to live out the Great Commission that says, Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. It will be thrilling to see lives changed when they come to know the love of Jesus!
